6D5N Silangit Lake Toba – Lake Toba (Danau Toba in Indonesian) is the largest volcanic lake in the world, formed by a cataclysmic eruption around 70,000 years ago which saw ashfalls as far away as eastern Africa. That eruption shrouded the earth in a blanket of ash for years and led to the cooling of the planet. Today, the lake is a calm, picturesque body of water surrounded by towering mountains and a favourite resting place on the Sumatra backpacker circuit.

Lake Toba is one of the most popular destinations in Indonesia, especially in Medan, North Sumatra. Lake Toba is the largest volcanic lake in Indonesia, even in the Southeast Asia.

Lake Toba is actually more like a sea than a lake considering its size. Therefore, the Lake placed as the largest lake in Southeast Asia and the second largest in the world after Lake Victoria in Africa. Lake Toba is also included the deepest lake in the world, which is approximately 450 meters. It is because the flawless nature and pristine water would satisfy all visitors.

The best way to look around is through a motorbike which will make the commute comfortable and enjoyable. The most popular thing to discover is the ancient Batak Village. It’s interesting to know about their rituals and culture. A local batak guy can take you around the place. You can also visit the Batak museum to know more.

Visit the hot springs located on the western side of the island. The water here is quite hot so swimming here is not recommended. The guide can take you up the hills to view the source of hot springs. The top view of Lake Toba is absolutely stunning. In case you want to do something exciting you can try your hand fishing in Lake Toba with the help of a local fisherman. You can also capture wonderful shots and selfies around the waterfalls which are close to the lake. With many other things to explore, Lake Toba offers an enriching and refreshing break for its tourists.

DAY 1 : SILANGIT – LAKE TOBA

Upon arrival in Silangit International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative/tour guide. Start the journey to Lake Toba, the biggest volcano lake in the world. Arrival in Parapat, Lunch in local restaurant. After lunch, then by ferry / boat crossing to Samosir Island about 45 minutes. Arrive in Samosir Island, check-in hotel and dinner at local restaurant. Free program, nite life in Parapat / Samosir Island.

DAY 2 : EXPLORE THE EXOTIC OF SAMOSIR ISLAND

After breakfast at hotel, then start our trip to feel and explore the exotice of Samosir Island. You will visit the beautifull tourist object such as: TELE, EFRATA WATERFALL, HOLBUNG HILLS, AMBARITA VILLAGE, TOMOK VILLAGE, AND SIGARANTUNG. Then back to hotel for rest. Lunch and dinner will be served at local Restaurant.

DAY 3 : LAKE TOBA – BERASTAGI HIGHLAND

After breakfast at hotel, check-out Then, back to Parapat and lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to Berastagi Highland. Enroute we will stop at Simarjarunjung to enjoy the special snack, ginger tea and fried bananas, or cassava (personal expenses). Then the trip will continue to visit, Sipiso-piso waterfall to see view of lake toba from the northern side. Arrival in Berastagi, visit Pasar Buah (Fruit Market) to buy some special local fruit, vegetables, etc. Check in hotel in Berastagi. Dinner will be served at local restaurant/hotel.

DAY 4 : BERASTAGI – MEDAN

After breakfast at hotel and check out, Proceed back to Medan. Enroute we will visit Shwedagon Pagoda Replica at Taman Lumbini. Arrive in Medan, then city tour visit : Maimoon Palace, Al-Mashun Grand Mosque, Sun Plaza. Dinner at local restaurant. After dinner, check in to hotel and free program.

DAY 5 : MEDAN – LAKE TOBA

After breakfast at hotel and check out the tour will beginning to shopping in: Kedai Sulam, Kedai Batik or Pasar Ikan. Lunch at local restaurant, then Proceed back to Parapat, around 4 hrs. Enroute stop at Patent Shop to buy local food such as : Ting-ting, Teng-teng, etc, and Dewi Kwan Im Temple in Siantar. Arrive in Parapat, check-in hotel and dinner at local restaurant. Free program, nite life in Parapat.

DAY 6 : LAKE TOBA – SILANGIT

After breakfast at hotel. Free program until time to check out. We transfer you to Kualanamu airport Medan for your flight for next destination. End of tour
